Frankie is another very intelligent budgie who is speaking in context and conversational language. He is very clear at times, and other times he will throw in some wolf whistles and sound effects. None the less, he has some very important things to say. This is what his guardian Barbara has to say about him:
Frankie is my beautiful blue baby. He was purchased for my daughter, but since she was away at school all day, he bonded to me. He now sees me as his mate. At first, he repeated several mimmics and phrases. I was so proud. I had a bird that could talk. Well, soon he began "closet talking" ; only when he thought no one was listening. Everyone thought I was nuts. Thanks to Ryan, I now know he can actually speak in context. He gets better and I get better at understanding all the time. I am thrilled to be gaurdian to this brilliant little bird. I have purchased him a light blue hen named Emma and a young blue and yellow boy named doodle. The hen was to be his mate. They are friends, but I truely believe Frankie views ME as his mate. He still jumps at every chance to spend time with his"blue mommy bird". That is what he called me. I feel better knowing that when I am not with him, he has the company of his own kind. With any luck, he will teach the others to communicate so that I can understand then as well. They are such lovely creatures.
