Tweetie is another very intelligent young budgie who started talking at less then one year old. He shows a keen understanding of humanistic concepts that would go well into the teens for a human. This is the introduction Alice, Tweetie's mom made when she came to the group less then two months before Tweetie recorded "Tell the People."
I have a question. Has anyone tried the product to grow grass for your bird to
eat? I saw it online. You only have to sprinkle the seeds and water. It grows in
3 or 4 days. I have been giving Tweetie the dried will grasses. He really likes
it. I haven't found a store to buy eucalyptus leaves or anything else like that.
Tweetie is starting to like fresh vegetables - but not fruit too much.
I know he says Pretty Bird and maybe some other words, but that's about it. He
is about 5 or 6 months old. He does look at my mouth when I am speaking. I
usually have the TV on in my office. He only talks when the TV is on. When I
shut it off, he listens to me, but doesn't speak or chirp. When I go out , I
leave the radio on. Does that help or hinder speech?
